If you're experienced with counted cross stitch, bargello, needlepoint or canvas work you might like to try something new. Judith Drew Designs are a modern interpretation of all those traditional crafts. Like cross stitch the patterns are 'counted' following a pattern chart. Like bargello all the stitches face in one direction, bargello stitches are usually vertical, my stitches are always horizontal. Like needlepoint the design is stitched onto a mono canvas with even square holes using 4 ply tapestry wools. Like canvas work the stitch patterns may vary to create different textures.
Navy blue circles is a bold design of dark blue circles in brick stitch and a background of wide diamonds stitched in vertical rows of long stitches in soft orange, yellow, green and beige with horizontal bars of white and small white circles to pull the design together.
The purchased download includes a list of everything you need to create this beautiful wall hanging for your home. To get you started here is my list of the recommended Appletons 4 ply tapestry wool codes and quantities required for this pattern.
