This design is a simple geometric pattern created using squares, diamonds, zigzags and circles. Each quarter of the design is a mirror image of the other quarters. My recommended colours are teal, dark red, rust and sage with a white background but you could choose colours to suit your tastes.
The design is stitched onto eighteen count or 18 hpi mono needlepoint canvas using 4 ply tapestry wools.
The finished design measures 6 x 12 inches / 15 x 30 cm.
I used an interlocking bar frame to support the canvas while I was stitching it.
This is a perfect pattern for those just starting with long stitch needlepoint canvas work as it's quite small and easy to follow.
I display my wall hangings on a dowel rod through tabs stitched to the back of the work.
The purchased download includes a list of everything you need to create this beautiful wall hanging for your home. To get you started here is my list of the recommended Appletons 4 ply tapestry wool codes and quantities required for this pattern.
